SYNOPSIS
Valeria is a woman who suddenly loses everything: love, home and work, so she returns to her mother's house at the age of almost fifty with the fear and shame of being a loser. She can't get back on her feet and thinks she is going crazy like her aunt Paca or that she is going to end up alone and with her honour broken like her mother. Valeria sets out to find that which is broken and which has remained stagnant. She will dive into the dark forest of her past and search for the father she knew little and badly, hoping to fix what is still broken, but it will be too late. The decision will be hers. Who does she want to be? Whose life does she depend on?

Words by the author and director
I admire the women of the golden century. I admire their bravery, I always wanted to go and tell the tale to all the cretins who took my honour. The biggest of them all, that was my father. He moved out before I was born and the ground has been shifting in my wake. My father left my mother without honour and that's where it all comes from. The doubt, the fear, the shame, and the pain. In 1973 a woman's honour still existed. If my mother had been Doña Juana, would she have disguised herself as a man? I want to tell the story of a woman who grew up without a father. I want to talk about the emotional changes that turn into abandonment and lead us to the first abandonment. The one that is nuclear and that marked us forever. I want to talk about the abandonments in my family. About family moves. I want to talk about living, loving, the fear of living. About hate and revenge. I want to talk about break-ups. I want to talk about goodbye and the door that opens after goodbye.
