THE PROJECT
"I am a dancer and I had never seen my parents dance before.
Doing research for a project in which I needed to learn to dance like in the sixties, it occurred to me to record them dancing, and watching them, I discovered things about them that I didn't know. Stopping to watch your parents is not something we do very often and this little act is the germ of many questions that arose in that moment. This is an investigation that began in the living room of my parents' house and that little by little has been transferred to other rooms, thus building something that has to do with emotion and memories. There were generations who related to each other through the body, who danced a lot and very well, and that made them different from us. I want to know how far these differences go and what I can learn from those people who fell in love dancing.

AMAYA GALEOTE
She is a dancer, choreographer and holds a degree in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid.
With a fairly eclectic career, his creations range from the purely dance-based to the more performative, including collaborations with artists from other disciplines. Currently his career is more focused on stage movement and theatrical choreography.
He has enjoyed creative residencies at the Centro Coreográfico Canal and the Compañía Nacional de Danza, and several of his works have been subsidised by both the City Council and the Community of Madrid. He has worked for the Teatro de la Zarzuela, Teatro Real, Teatro Español, Teatros del Canal, Teatre Lliure, Centro Dramático Gallego and has participated in several productions for the Centro Dramático Nacional.
He collaborates with directors such as Carme Portacelli, Juan José Villanueva, Pilar Almansa, Emilio Hernández, Gianina Carbonariu, Amelia Ochandiano, Teatro En Vilo, Marta Pazos and Alfredo Sanzol.
